This morning President Obama announced that the U.S. is joining Japan and the European Union in bringing a trade case against China involving rare earth materials.
“We’ve got to take control of our energy future, and we can’t let that energy industry take root in some other country because they were allowed to break the rules,” Obama said.
At the same time, at the Technology and Rare Earth Metals (TREM) 2012 policy summit, Nation-E’s CIO participated in a discussion on automotive and grid storage with Bill Reinert (national manager of Toyota’s advance technology group), Seifi Ghasemi (President and CEO of Rockwood Holdings) and Marc Winterhoff (Partner, Roland Berger Strategy). The panel addressed the impact of demand for a grid storage solution and discussed Nation-E’s solutions and unique approach.
